The last five years have brought many changes for the lawyers, paralegals, and technologists working together to provide legal services, as well as for the companies serving the industry. Whether it was the need for effective legal holds after the Zubulake decisions, the acceleration of technology-assisted review after Da Silva Moore, or the push for effective information governance after the NSA-Snowden controversy, there’s a constant stream of new trends, processes, and best practices.
In reviewing the 2015 Gartner Magic Quadrant for e-Discovery Software, we noticed three key trends that seem to rise to the top of this year’s report: the symbiosis between software and services, international e-discovery, and the evolving legal cloud.
